The Lovely City Of El Ejido

El Ejido is one of the beautiful cities of Spain which are surrounded by pretty golf courses and gorgeous beaches.  You will be astounded with lots of attractions you can see in this city which is in the province of Almeria and if you want to relax, going to this city is highly recommended. This place is tranquil and very peaceful. If you are already on your retiring age, El Ejido is very suitable for you.

El Ejido is only 30 miles inland from Roquetas de Mar. This is one of the cities that take pride for its rich agricultural production. El Ejido is also one of the prosperous areas in Andalucia and without a doubt, this city has come a long way. Its population has rapidly increased since the year 1980 up to the present, it continues to attract many tourists because of the captivating beaches and spectacular landscape. This city also has rich production of fruits and vegetables.  Its expansion began in the 1970’s and until now this city continues to prosper.

You can also find one of the finest architectures in the city of El Ejido. The town hall was designed by Franscisco Jose Garrido and Jose Medialea. One of the exquisite domestic buildings was designed by Jesus Martin Palmero and this won the best designed building. You will truly be amazed with the architectures you can see in El Ejido.

Another reason why you should visit El Ejido is its festival which takes place all year round. One of the famous festivals in the city of El Ejido is the International Theatre Festival and other celebrations you should look forward to are the festivals of patron saints Isidro Labrador and Marcos. These festivals take place in July.

You can also find a good number of archaeological parks and museums in the city of El Ejido. If you want to enjoy your vacation in one of the gorgeous cities in Spain, you should not fail to bring a camera so you can take great pictures of the beautiful sceneries. You will be able to discover El Ejido’s rich culture and history when you drive around town. Some of the notable places that you should visit are the Cultural Centre, El Daimun and Ciavieja Archaeological Park. These are interesting places that have attracted thousands of tourists every year. The beautiful beaches in El Ejido are also a must-see attraction. You can do plenty of water based activities in El Ejido beaches that the whole family will surely enjoy.
